War memorials in St Martin's on the Close
At the time the purchase of St Martin's was negotiated in 2004, Historic Places Trust stipulated that to have their support the Anglican Parish of Taihape and the Mangaweka community would need to allow the two memorial windows, the memorial plaques and the memorial Estey Reed organ to remain in the church when it moved to Rathkeale College. This was duly agreed, thus St Martin's on the Close is now the focus of Rathkeale College's celebration of these people and their contribution to their community and their country.
