Henry Condie Thornhill Wilson, was a member of a founding Mangaweka family. The original Mrs Wilson was a founding member of Plunket in Mangaweka. She used to drive into to the village, (about 15 miles),in a gig to pick up the Plunket nurse who would arrive by train from Taihape, and then proceed to drive her around to see all the clients, drive her back to a train later in the afternoon, then drive home again.This was in 1914.
